Job summary

Autumn Ridge is seeking a Cook to join American Senior Communities on a part-time day shift. You will prepare meals that meet residents’ nutritional needs, follow menus, and lead basic kitchen operations while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (or 1–3 years of related experience). Preferred: sanitation certification and prior institutional/healthcare kitchen experience. ASC supports career growth and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED, or 1–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Preferred sanitation/safe food handling certification.
• Preferred prior institutional and/or Healthcare kitchen experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares food that meets residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks or prepares palatable, nutritious meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains a clean food service work area during preparation and service.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food supplies per departmental procedures and regulations.

Education
