Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a part-time Cook for a day shift at Betz Nursing Home. You will join our culinary team and prepare meals that meet residents’ nutritional needs while maintaining high sanitation and safety standards.

Responsibilities include leading kitchen staff, following recipes, and preparing meals in appropriate quantities. Experience in healthcare food service and sanitation certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED or 1–3 years related experience or equivalent combination.
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification.
• Preferred: Prior institutional or healthcare service experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares meals meeting residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks meals in quantities as required; ensures palatability and nutrition.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storage.
