Job summary

Autumn Village in Beulaville, NC is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team and prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for our residents.

You will follow menus, respect dietary requirements, and work with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to ensure timely service, quality presentation, and a sanitary, well-organized kitchen. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation: cook meals according to menu plans, meeting dietary requirements and resident preferences.
• Meal service: ensure timely service with quality presentation.
• Kitchen maintenance: keep a clean, sanitary kitchen and proper storage of supplies.
• Team collaboration: work with Dietary Manager and kitchen staff; assist in training new staff.
• Inventory control: assist with inventory and report shortages or orders.
• Resident engagement: accommodate special dietary requests and preferences.
