The Bristal Assisted Living in Waldwick, NJ is seeking a dedicated cook to support nutritious meals for residents and staff. You will assist with preparation, seasoning and cooking under the direction of the Director of Food Service or the Sous Chef.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in food handling, sanitation and safety in institutions or restaurants, a high school diploma, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Formación

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in food handling and preparation, sanitation, and safety standards for institutions and/or restaurants.
• Culinary or cooking school experience/courses preferred; a minimum of a high school degree.
• Must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent ability to prioritize, deliver topnotch customer service and multi-task in a busy environment.
• Ability to understand the English language and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to follow all rules, regulations, policies and sanitary standards established by management.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with preparation, seasoning and cooking of meals for residents and staff as directed by the Director of Food Service or the Sous Chef.
• Help prepare food for the next meal service, including chopping, measuring and mixing ingredients.
• Ensure all procedures comply with health department and company regulations.
• Check all food temperatures prior to meal service.
• Garnish all plates before they leave the kitchen area.
