Job summary

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in food handling in institutions or restaurants, and a high school diploma. Experience in fast-paced environments and a commitment to sanitation are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in food handling and preparation, sanitation, and safety standards for institutions and/or restaurants.
• Culinary or cooking school experience/courses preferred; a minimum of a high school degree.
• Must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent ability to prioritize, deliver topnotch customer service and multi-task in a busy environment.
• Ability to understand the English language and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to follow all rules, regulations, policies and sanitary standards established by management.

Responsibilities

• Helping to prepare food for the next meal service, which includes chopping, measuring and mixing ingredients according to established recipes
• Ensuring all procedures are conducted following required health department and company regulations
• Checking all food temperatures prior to meal service
• Garnishing all plates before they leave the kitchen area
