Job summary

The Arbor Company in Park Ridge is seeking a Cook to prepare meals per recipes and menus, assist with stock deliveries, and ensure cleaning and safety standards with diligent routines.

You will communicate with the Dining Director on prep, production and service flow, maintaining resident satisfaction through quality service and friendly interactions. Previous kitchen experience in long-term care is valued.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent training is preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling and portion control.
• Experience with special diets and long-term care is a plus.
• Experience with large batch cooking (100 meals) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide food service and create meals using established recipes and menus.
• Assist with stock deliveries, rotate products and follow regulatory log requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety by adhering to cleaning schedules and protocols.
• Coordinate with the Dining Director on prep, production and service flow.
