Job summary

Hawthorn Senior Living in Summerville, SC, seeks a versatile kitchen utility role to prepare, wash and store dishes and assist with meal service for residents. The position is cross-trained with other duties as directed by the Community Executive Chef, emphasizing teamwork and resident-centered care.

You will maintain cleanliness and safety, follow sanitation procedures, and support the dining team during busy times, keeping residents' experience positive.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• General knowledge of cleaning and sanitation.
• Maintains food handlers permit as necessary to fulfill state regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, wash, and store dishes following Hawthorn Senior Living procedures.
• Assist in bussing, serving, and delivery of room trays as needed.
• Set tables in the dining room and help maintain a clean dining area.
• Assist Chefs/Cooks in cleaning food serving areas and equipment and sanitation tasks.
• Adhere to prescribed safety and sanitation practices and procedures.
