Job summary

Hawthorn Senior Living in Wilmington, NC is seeking a dedicated dishwashing and dining support team member. The role is a universal position, with cross-training in other kitchen and dining tasks as directed by the Community Executive Chef.

You will regularly wash, store dishes, assist with meal service, and help maintain a clean dining environment while following Hawthorn Senior Living procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• General knowledge of cleaning and sanitation.
• Maintains food handlers permit as necessary to fulfill state or provincial regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Regular, on-site attendance and punctuality as scheduled.
• Assist in washing, serving, and delivering room trays as needed.
• Set tables in the dining room and maintain a clean dishwashing area.
• Help Chefs/Cooks in cleaning food serving areas and equipment.
• Complete dishwasher temperature log at required times.
• Work as part of the food services team to ensure safe kitchen operations.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation practices and procedures.
• Treat residents and staff with dignity and respect.
