Job summary

Woodleigh Chase by Erickson Senior Living in Fairfax, Virginia, is seeking a Housekeeping Utility Worker to keep our community clean and well‑ordered. You will set up rooms for events, remove trash, and operate cleaning equipment on a Monday–Friday schedule from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm.

The starting pay is $19–$20.50 per hour, based on experience, with bi-weekly pay. This on-site role offers benefits and opportunities to grow within our expanding communities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques is preferred.
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community.
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.
• May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license as a condition of employment.
• Must have a history of safe driving as noted through a Motor Vehicle Record check, if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the community through the operation of specialized equipment
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste
• Utilize work orders to ensure proper room/furniture setups
• Assist with movement and delivery of heavy objects/packages
• Remove trash including, refuse and recycling
• Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, and waxing as well as carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming
