Job summary

Woodleigh Chase by Erickson Senior Living in Fairfax, Virginia, is seeking a Housekeeping Utility Worker to maintain cleanliness, prepare rooms for events, and remove waste as part of a dedicated team focused on high standards of hygiene.

The role involves operating carpet care and floor care equipment, handling heavy objects as needed, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure safe, efficient service across the community.

Qualifications

• Prior carpet care and floor finishing experience preferred.
• Ability to operate carpet/floor cleaning equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• May require a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the community through operation of specialized equipment.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste.
• Utilize work orders to ensure proper room/furniture setups.
• Assist with movement and delivery of heavy objects/packages.
• Remove trash including refuse and recycling.
• Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, and waxing as well as carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming.
