Job summary

CommCare Corporation, a leader in retirement living, skilled nursing, and hospice care in Louisiana and Mississippi, seeks a Housekeeping Staff member for Our Lady of Wisdom Community Care Center. You will clean, sanitize, and maintain resident areas while collaborating with a compassionate team to support senior residents.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, good English communication, and a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Affinity for working with seniors.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, including dressing appropriately and good personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Dust wall vents, handrails, ceiling fans, baseboards, furniture and blinds.
• Vacuum, spot clean and shampoo carpets and furniture as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms; stock paper goods and soap dispensers.
• Check for and remove marks from walls.
• Empty trash cans in resident apartments/suites and common areas.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Document provision of services per company policy.
• Report hazards or sanitation issues to the Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping.
• Collaborate with peers to ensure resident safety and satisfaction.
