Job summary

Homewood Living Martinsburg is seeking a Full-Time Day Shift Housekeeper to provide a clean, orderly and safe living environment throughout the facility. The role requires handling confidential resident information, maintaining infection-control standards, and operating housekeeping and laundry equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong hygiene, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and printed instructions.
• High degree of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ability to push/pull sweepers and housekeeping carts and lift/carry up to 40 pounds over an 8 hour shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist and turn frequently over an 8 hour shift.
• Operates housekeeping and laundry machines such as floor machines, wet vacs, washer, dryer.

Responsibilities

• Provides a clean, orderly and safe living environment throughout the facility.
• Treats resident information as confidential.
• Complies with policies and standards.
• Operates and maintains housekeeping equipment safely.
• Performs general cleaning (dusting, mopping, disinfecting) in assigned areas.
• Keeps areas furnished with supplies and moves resident belongings as needed.
• Keeps furniture orderly and neat.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
