Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. seeks a dedicated Housekeeper in New Jersey to maintain clean and safe living spaces for residents and staff.

You will manage duties in apartments, common areas, and amenities, including baths, kitchens, and windows, while completing laundry tasks and stocking supplies. The role requires ability to follow training, operate cleaning equipment, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete all Company specified training programs.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean public areas and resident’s apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.
• Perform all housekeeping duties including: distributing laundered articles and linens; changing beds; cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies; sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; dusting furniture and equipment; polishing metalwork; washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Performs all laundry duties, including washing and drying resident laundry and textiles; folding and/or hanging laundry; distributing laundered articles and linens; changing bed linens.
• Maintain resident laundry areas, including mopping floors, washing walls, and checking lint traps regularly.
• Wash windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested.
• Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies.
• Stock the cleaning cart with supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area(s).
• Work with maintenance to ensure that the trash and dumpster areas are clean.
• Request maintenance work orders for any maintenance repairs needed.
• Report resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly.
• Reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance-related issues promptly to Supervisor.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
