Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff across apartments and common areas. You will perform cleaning duties, laundry tasks, and stock supplies to support a comfortable community living experience.

Ideal candidates will be organized, able to follow training programs, operate standard cleaning equipment, and communicate effectively in English with residents and team members.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete all Company specified training programs.
• Able to operate cleaning equipment including iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, vacuums.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• The Housekeeper maintains a clean and safe environment for residents and staff across apartments, interior and exterior common areas and amenities.
• Clean public areas and resident’s apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios and windows, floors and furniture.
• Perform housekeeping duties including distributing laundered articles and linens, changing beds, cleaning restrooms, and replenishing supplies.
• Perform all laundry duties: washing/drying resident laundry, folding and distributing articles.
• Maintain resident laundry areas and mop floors, wash walls, and check lint traps.
• Wash windows at reasonable heights and keep rooms clean and orderly.
• Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies; stock the cleaning cart.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash; coordinate with maintenance as needed.
• Report resident issues promptly and escalate as required; follow supervisor directions.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
