Job summary

The Housekeeper role at Cedarhurst-of-Newburgh ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors across the community. Daily cleaning, laundry, and restocking are performed in accordance with policies and schedules, with collaboration with maintenance to address repairs.

We seek candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent; prior housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous Housekeeping experience preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word) and EHR/HR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, and offices.
• Restock and launder linens; manage supplies as directed.
• Report supply/equipment needs and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
• Communicate with residents’ families about care and well-being as needed.
• Work with others, take direction from management, and handle conflicts professionally.
