Job summary

Blue Palms Senior Living of DeLand is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Director for ALF/IL to lead census development and occupancy management in DeLand, Florida. The role focuses on achieving financial goals while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and facility policies.

You will work to develop referral relationships, oversee admission practices, and coordinate with the Admissions Coordinator and Director of Business Development to drive occupancy and collections

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of census development and occupancy management experience in an Assisted Living or similar setting.
• Knowledge of laws and guidelines pertaining to Assisted Living/Independent Living.

Responsibilities

• Plan and evaluate the operation of the community to achieve census goals while complying with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Evaluate and adjust admission practices based on census goals.
• Collaborate with business office and Admissions to align occupancy and collections.
• Develop an internal census sales strategy with the Admissions Coordinator and Director of Business Development.
• Develop relationships with referral partners and sources such as hospitals, physicians, senior centers, and home health agencies.
• Assist referrals processing daily and maintain status updates on referrals.
• Ensure accurate recording of resident pay status in census and resident records.
• Provide tours to potential residents and wellness checks as needed.
