Job summary

Sarasota Bay Club in Sarasota, FL is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting for the organization and related entities. This hands-on role partners with executive management to oversee month-end close, budgeting, cash management, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in progressive accounting leadership, GAAP expertise, strong Excel skills, and the ability to balance analytical and operational priorities while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a leadership role.
• CPA or related certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cash management and reconciliations.
• Lead monthly and year-end close and prepare financial statements.
• Coordinate budgeting and financial forecasting with management.
• Maintain internal controls and safeguard assets; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage banking relationships and external auditors; provide financial analysis to leadership.
