West Bay Club in Estero, FL is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our hospitality-focused property organization. The successful candidate will work with the Director of Finance to manage general accounting functions, accounts payable, member billing, and month-end close.

Ideal applicants have at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, 2+ in leadership, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and club software like Jonas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting; 2+ in lead role.
• Experience managing multiple departments with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Present financial information clearly and professionally.
• Handle monthly billing and statements for members.
• Process accounts payable.
• Assist with monthly close, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Identify issues and escalate to Director of Finance.
• Provide actionable insights into accounting operations.
