Job summary

The Gables of Green in Uniontown, OH is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Director to oversee facility maintenance, safety, and grounds. The role includes supervising maintenance and housekeeping activities and coordinating repairs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond to emergencies.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with residents, families, staff, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the building and grounds, ensuring repairs and preventive maintenance are carried out.
• Inspect and service facility systems to minimize downtime and hazards.
• Coordinate repairs for facility systems and perform minor carpentry and refurbishment tasks.
• Order supplies and manage inventory for maintenance operations.
• Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and regulatory documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies after hours.
• Support safety compliance with PA DHS, OSHA, and other regulations.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and disaster response.
