Legacy Healthcare in Houston, TX seeks an Executive Director to lead our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. You will set strategic direction, ensure exceptional resident care, and promote a culture where staff feel valued and empowered.

This role oversees operations, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and team development, working closely with families, physicians, and community partners to deliver high-quality, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Gerontology, or a related field preferred.
• Previous leadership experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, Senior Living, Healthcare, or a related environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing people, operations, budgets, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of senior living operations and resident-centered care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to lead with empathy while maintaining accountability and operational discipline.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must meet all licensing and regulatory requirements applicable to the position and community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and provide leadership for the community.
• Maintain resident dignity, safety, choice, and quality of life.
• Foster relationships with residents, families, and employees.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, regulations, and standards.
• Partner with leaders to set goals, monitor performance, and drive improvements.
• Respond to concerns from residents, families, staff, and operations.
• Oversee delivery of high-quality Assisted Living and Memory Care services.
• Coordinate with physicians, healthcare providers, and outside partners.
• Staff development, hiring, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and budget adherence.
• Maintain regulatory readiness and incident management.
• Promote safety, infection control, and risk management.
• Support occupancy growth and resident retention initiatives.
• Represent the community in outreach, tours, and community events.
