Job summary

Silvergate Retirement Residences in San Marcos, CA, seeks an Executive Director to lead the community’s operations, care, and financial health. You will guide a senior leadership team, drive occupancy growth, and uphold regulatory compliance while delivering a warm, resident-centered experience.

The role requires a proven track record in senior living leadership, strong financial acumen, and the ability to build relationships with residents, families, employees, physicians, and partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive leadership in senior living or similar settings.
• Experience overseeing operations, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead a large management team and drive occupancy growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership of day-to-day community operations with high standards of care and safety.
• Maintain a visible presence, engaging with residents, families, and staff.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop department leaders; set expectations and accountability.
• Lead on-site sales and marketing to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
• Monitor occupancy, staffing, expenses, and performance; report as needed.
• Ensure budgeting, labor management, and expense control align with financial goals.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and accurate billing/financial integrity.
• Foster strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and partners.
