Cardinal Senior Living LLC is seeking an Executive Chef for Walnut Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care in Kentwood, MI. The role oversees the Dietary Department’s daily operations, ensuring resident satisfaction, quality food service, and regulatory compliance.

This hands-on position develops menus, trains staff, and manages inventory and costs. The Executive Chef will lead in food preparation for three meals daily, supervise staff, and collaborate with other departments for events.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including steam tables, slicers, etc.
• Experience in kitchen sanitation and hygiene.
• Ability to perform tasks such as calculating, ordering, filing, and writing.
• Ability to effectively supervise all dietary staff, as well as Care Takers while they are serving in the dining room.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• ServSafe certification.
• CDM or Associates Degree in Culinary Arts is preferred, but not required.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in food preparation; budget experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees daily operations of the Dietary Department and ensures budget adherence.
• Supervises dietary staff; schedules as needed and ensures coverage.
• Trains dietary employees and supervises kitchen and dining room operations.
• Maintains stock of snacks/beverages and manages inventory to maximize cost-effectiveness.
• Leads in customer service to residents and other departments; conducts quarterly and annual evaluations.
• Develops and enforces cleaning schedules for sanitary environment.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA & CDC guidelines and Cardinal Senior Living Standards.
• Coordinates with other departments for events and resident engagement.
• Maintains documentation (diabetic lists, special diets) and tracks temperatures.
• Communicates problems and improvement ideas to the Executive Director.
