Job summary

Avamere at Rio Rancho is seeking a Server to provide excellent dining service in a memory care, assisted living and/or independent living setting. You will take orders, serve meals, and ensure a positive dining experience for residents.

Fully on-site, the role runs 11am–7pm with duties including room service, setup, cleanup, and collaboration with kitchen staff to maintain high standards of sanitation and friendliness towards residents and guests.

Qualifications

• Experience with high standards of food safety and sanitation.
• Maintain personal hygiene and wear hair restraints.
• Interpersonal skills to relate with residents and staff.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required during employment.
• Food handlers card issued by local Health Department is required.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and related regulations.
• Friendly, attentive and professional demeanor with residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
• Compassion for the elderly and a warm service approach.

Responsibilities

• Accurately recording and delivering meal and beverage orders from residents.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and attractively.
• Provide attentive and friendly service, checking on residents' needs.
• Set up dining room before meals and maintain cleanliness.
• Clear tables after meals and reset them for the next service.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents' apartments.
• Be familiar with the menu and dietary needs and answer questions.
• Interact with residents and guests in a professional manner.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste per established policies.
• Other duties assigned appropriate to the position
