Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services Specialist to supervise the food service program in assigned communities, planning nutritious meals for residents and training dining teams to deliver exceptional service.

In this role you will manage staff schedules, menu cycles, and inventories, while maintaining costs and vendor relationships. A strong focus on hospitality and resident satisfaction is required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of dining leadership experience in senior living or related settings.
• Strong customer service orientation for residents, families and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail within budget.

Responsibilities

• Schedule staff and manage ongoing coverage with planning two weeks in advance.
• Plan and implement a resident-friendly menu cycle with seasonal items.
• Maintain food inventories, costs, and vendor communications.
• Instruct and train dining staff on operations and equipment.
• Ensure safe food handling and proper temperatures throughout service.
• Recruit, hire, and orient new dining staff and support team cohesion.
• Assist with monthly in-service meetings and resident-focused activities.
