Job summary

The Covenant Living at the Holmstad in Batavia, IL is seeking a Part time Dining Services Server to deliver prompt, courteous meal service to residents and guests in the dining room and Bistro. You will assist with serving, bussing, light prep, and event support, while maintaining a clean, welcoming dining environment.

An ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a current Food Handler’s Permit, ServSafe training is a plus, and about 1 year of food service experience.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand written instructions and follow safety practices.
• Must be cordial and congenial with residents.
• Must be dependable, detail oriented, organized, and have good follow through.
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks and work with limited supervision.
• Demonstrate patience and compassion to senior adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service, including serving food, waiting tables, and bussing tables.
• Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner meals to residents, guests, and staff in the Dining Room or Bistro.
• Bus and reset tables as needed.
• Prepare salad bar items for lunch and desserts; stage for service.
• Open and close dining rooms as needed; assist in meetings or events with snacks and beverages.
• Follow sanitation guidelines and maintain cleanliness of prep items and dining areas.
