Job summary

Monarch Communities in Toms River, NJ is seeking Dining Servers for part-time schedules. You will provide friendly dining service to residents and guests, take orders, deliver meals, and assist with beverage preparation.

Responsibilities include maintaining dining room setup, accommodating dietary requirements, documenting attendance, supporting special events, and ensuring compliance with safety and service standards. This role offers flexible hours and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior living.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities; good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills; experience working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition.
• Learn residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure dining room is set up and all items needed for service are available.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing dining room, menus, kitchen and serving stations.
• Prepare beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service.
• Assist residents with special dining requests.
• Ensure all residents are accounted for during meals and document attendance.
• Participate in special events and in-service trainings.
