Job summary

Pegasus Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services Director to lead all dining operations with a focus on scratch cooking, hospitality, and resident satisfaction. You will manage menus, production, purchasing, and budgeting while serving as lead chef several days per week.

You will recruit and mentor a high-performing dining team, foster a positive kitchen culture, and collaborate with health services to tailor dining to residents' needs. A strong hospitality mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of culinary leadership or foodservice management experience.
• Senior Living experience not required – willingness to learn.
• Passion for hospitality and serving older adults with dignity and warmth.
• Strong culinary foundation with scratch cooking and menu development.
• Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and maintain standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead dining operations: menu planning, production, purchasing, budgeting, and compliance.
• Serve as lead chef up to three days per week with high quality standards.
• Foster a scratch-cooking culture and resident-focused service.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing dining team.
• Build relationships with residents and families for personalized dining.
• Manage food purchasing, inventory, labor and align with financial goals.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and continuous service improvements.
