Job summary

Qualifications

• High school education required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certified Dietary Manager certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a chef/cook; supervision/management experience.
• Current food service sanitation certificate; knowledge of HACCP and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plans weekly menus in accordance with community policies and procedures.
• Maintains inventory of foods and supplies from approved vendors.
• Cooks and prepares meals per nutritional guidelines and residents’ diets.
• Ensures meals are prepared and served appetizingly and on time.
• Supervises food service associates and coordinates staffing.
• Participates in staff training on safety and infection control.
