Four Winds Community is seeking a Dining Services Assistant to assist cooks, prepare nourishments, serve meals and maintain a clean dining area for residents and staff.

The role emphasizes safety, dementia-care protocols, and friendly interactions with residents and families. You will support meal service, sanitation, and meal tray delivery while upholding United Church Homes' commitment to person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience preferred.
• Ability to operate mixers, stoves, microwaves, ovens and other kitchen equipment.

Responsabilités

• Assist Cook as needed and prepare nourishments per procedures.
• Serve meals and check tray accuracy before delivery to residents.
• Maintain sanitation: wash tables, mops, and dining area; ensure clean, neat workspaces.
• Transport food via food carts and assist with meal service in dining areas.
• Communicate with residents to support a homelike dining experience and post-service cleanup.
