Job summary

United Church Homes, Inc. is seeking a Dining Services Assistant at Four Winds Community in Jackson, OH. The role involves assisting cooks, serving meals to residents, and maintaining a clean dining area in a supportive, dementia-aware environment.

Responsibilities include food preparation assistance, sanitation, tray service, and coordinating with staff to ensure a pleasant, homelike dining experience for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months to one year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to operate mixers, stoves, microwaves and other kitchen equipment.
• Must read, write, understand and speak English.
• Must be able to multi-task and adapt to resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Cook as needed and help with meal preparation and serving.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays between work stations and dining area.
• Assist with sanitation: cleaning dining room, trash removal, dishwashing and storage.
• Set tables and assist with meal tray service, as needed.
• Communicate with residents to provide a homelike dining experience.
• Support dementia care protocols and follow safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with Dietary staff and other community personnel during meals.
