Job summary

Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care in Portland, OR is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and deliver quality dining experiences for residents.

You’ll assist with meal prep, tray delivery, snacks, and dishwashing while maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and collaborating with nursing and housekeeping to support outstanding resident care. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
• Ability to read recipes and follow written instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous food service or healthcare experience is a plus, but we are happy to train motivated individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with meal preparation and meal service.
• Setting up and delivering resident meal trays.
• Preparing snacks and nourishments.
• Washing dishes and operating the commercial dishwasher.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• Cleaning workstations, refrigerators, and kitchen equipment.
• Sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash.
• Stocking and organizing food and supplies.
• Supporting the cooks and dietary leadership team as needed.
• Working collaboratively with nursing, housekeeping, and other departments to provide outstanding resident care.
