Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Two years of experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Meet state or provincial health-related requirements.
• Maintain a food handler's permit as required by state/provincial regulations.
• Maintain any other certifications required by state/provincial regulations.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures (temperature safety), sanitation, and storage techniques.
• Desire to work with older adults and their families.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and Daily Food Production Record for instructions.
• Prepare meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and attractive according to menus/recipes and physician orders.
• Adhere to food-related safety/sanitation procedures and portion control policies.
• Ensure food and supplies are available for meals planned.
• Supervise preparation of serving carts and kitchen areas.
• Attend onboarding and team training and participate in meetings.
