You will prepare meals according to menus and dietary needs, ensuring appetizing presentation and consistent portioning. The role requires a high school diploma, prior cooking experience in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant settings, and knowledge of food safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring nutrition, appetizing meals, and dietary requirements.
• Serve meals in a timely manner with high quality, proper portions, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment following safety procedures.
• Collaborate with Dietary Manager and kitchen staff; assist in training new kitchen staff.
• Assist with inventory management and report shortages or orders to the Dietary Manager.
• Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents' preferences.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
