Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience cooking in a senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring nutritious, appetizing meals that meet dietary requirements and resident preferences.
• Serve meals in a timely manner with high quality, accurate portions and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen by following food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and assist in training new staff.
• Assist with inventory management and report shortages or needs to the Dietary Manager.
• Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents' preferences to ensure satisfaction.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
