Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Newton, MA is seeking a Cook to join our team and help create delicious, healthy meals for our residents. In this role you will follow federal, state, and local standards and Benchmark policies to ensure quality food service throughout the community.

You will work under the Food Services Director, prepare and serve nutritious meals with appealing presentation, and contribute to a positive dining experience that supports residents’ well-being and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary Arts training preferred.
• 2 years of dietary experience.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and related laws and guidelines.
• Leadership ability to supervise staff.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assures all dietary procedures are followed.
• Operate all kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Establish food production line to ensure meals on time.
• Represents the community with a positive attitude when interacting with residents and families.
• Prepares and serves nutritious meals with high-quality presentation.
