Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will work as part of a dedicated team to deliver meals that meet planned menus and dietary requirements.

The role emphasizes food safety, high quality, and friendly, responsive resident service. Candidates should have a high school diploma, kitchen experience, and be able to lift and stand for extended periods; ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook/food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 lb, push/pull 50 lb, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• May need to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
