Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) seeks a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow menus and recipes while upholding safety and sanitation standards, contributing to a positive dining experience for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and prior cooking experience; ability to follow dietary restrictions; a positive attitude; and compliance with vaccination policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate with occupants and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• May need to complete a sanitation/safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by law.
• Residency within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent service.
• All other duties as assigned.
