Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year cooking in a senior living environment.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve all food items using high quality ingredients.
• Use recipes and proper portions to control costs while delivering consistent meals.
• Record and monitor food temperatures during storage, preparation, cooking and service.
• Label, date, and store all foods properly.
• Monitor temperatures of kitchen refrigerators and freezers daily.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist in inventory and stock management; report issues to supervisor.
