Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents in a senior living community in Winston-Salem, NC. The role includes following approved menus, supervising dietary staff when the Dining Services Director is absent, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

The cook will monitor food temperatures, handle proper cooling and storage, and ensure portion control while supporting flexible scheduling that includes evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Serv-Safe certification required or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items following standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean, orderly kitchen and work area at all times.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Report faulty equipment and safety issues to supervisor.
• Monitor temperatures and food safety to meet sanitation standards.
• Support with meal service and ensure residents receive meals on time.
