Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Maine is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents according to established recipes and dietary needs. You will maintain high standards for quality, safety, and presentation while supporting dining services and ensuring a warm dining experience.

You will work in a team-driven kitchen, handle stock and temperatures, and uphold sanitation and OSHA guidelines. This role includes opportunities for growth and a positive impact on resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Follow standardized recipes and menus.
• Adhere to Food Safety standards and cooking procedures.
• Provide teamwork and cooperation with dining services staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator
