Job summary

Heritage Senior Living in Menomonee Falls, WI, is seeking a dependable Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare meals according to menus and dietary guidelines, ensure food safety, and contribute to a warm dining experience for residents.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality meals and great service. This role values organization, flexibility, and a heart for working with older adults.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food-service or culinary certification is a plus.
• Previous food preparation or cooking experience required.
• Senior living, healthcare, institutional food service, hospitality, or restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, menus, food labels, dietary instructions, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Report to Executive Chef and work with culinary team on food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and dining experience.
• Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and production standards.
• Ensure food safety, proper portioning, presentation, and timely service.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to sanitation and infection-control practices.
• Monitor inventory and communicate needs to Executive Chef.
• Assist with special events, celebrations, and resident activities.
