Job summary

Heritage Middleton Senior Living is seeking a dependable Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare meals, follow menus and dietary instructions, and ensure food safety while delivering a warm dining experience for residents and guests.

You’ll work under the Executive Chef, maintain a clean kitchen, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily production goals and special event needs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, menus, dietary instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with coworkers and community team members.
• Willingness to meet pre-employment, training and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to established menus, recipes, and production standards.
• Ensure food safety, proper temperatures, and timely service.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen areas and follow sanitation practices.
• Assist with special events, resident activities and dietary accommodations.
• Provide friendly, attentive service and monitor dining satisfaction.
• Assist with inventory and report equipment or safety concerns promptly.
