Cogir Senior Living in California is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, staff, families, and guests. You will work with the culinary director to create traditional and global options, using seasonal, local ingredients and cooking from scratch.

The role focuses on high-quality service to seniors, adherence to safety guidelines, and collaboration with the dining team to ensure timely meal service, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a full-service kitchen.
• Ability to read and execute recipes.
• Proficient in preparing a variety of meals and batch cooking.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and knife handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas; keep stations clean and sanitized.
• Collaborate with dining services to ensure timely meal service.
• Check and restock foods for proper service; adhere to safety regulations.
• Participate in training sessions including food handling and safety certifications.
