Recover-Care Healthcare is seeking a skilled cook to join our nursing home culinary team. You will prepare delicious, nutritious meals that support residents' well-being and happiness, following dietary guidelines and taste considerations.

In this role, you will plan menus, collaborate with the dietary staff, maintain a clean kitchen, and ensure food safety standards are met. The Day shift (6am–3pm) provides a stable routine and opportunities to shine as part of a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Proven cook with experience in preparing meals for residents.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and regulations.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, portion meals, and accommodate dietary needs.
• Strong organizational skills to manage time in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with kitchen and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare appetizing and well-balanced meals for residents per dietary requirements.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes for consistency.
• Coordinate with dietary team to plan nutritious menus.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen and adhere to safety standards.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
• Collaborate with dietary staff on menu improvements.
• Work with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation.
• Provide a warm, compassionate dining experience for residents and families.
