Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in a senior living environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with standardized menu (recipes, portions, and special diets).
• Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Take and record temperature of all foods prepared.
• Discard outdated items stored in walk-in cooler.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and universal precaution policies and procedures when preparing food, cleaning equipment, and performing other daily tasks.
• Perform daily cleaning in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
• Report all hazardous conditions/equipment to the Dietary Manager immediately.
