The Magnolia is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. You will prepare meals according to menus, maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, and collaborate with the Dietary Manager and staff to ensure top service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, cooking experience in senior living or healthcare, and a strong commitment to food safety and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant settings preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.

Responsabilités

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to menus, ensuring nutrition and adherence to dietary requirements.
• Meal Service: Serve meals promptly with high quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Keep kitchen clean, organized, and sanitary; proper storage/handling of food.
• Team Collaboration: Work with Dietary Manager and staff; assist training new kitchen staff.
• Inventory Control: Assist with inventory, report shortages or ordering needs.
• Resident Engagement: Address special dietary requests and preferences to ensure satisfaction.
• Regulatory Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations and sanitation practices.
