Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a dependable Cook to prepare high-quality meals for residents in a safe, clean kitchen environment. You’ll follow standardized recipes, manage portions, and ensure food safety while adapting to dietary needs.

You will also assist with dishwashing and dining service, maintain records, and help lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator. This role supports a compassionate, resident-centered dining experience.

Qualifications

• Food safety standards knowledge is required.
• Ability to prepare meals according to recipes and menus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to recipes and menus.
• Ensure quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements.
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures.
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations.
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas.
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed.
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator.
