Responsibilities include cooking a variety of meals, adapting recipes for residents' needs, and ensuring attractive plating. The role requires 2+ years in similar settings and knowledge of food safety practices.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2+ years of cooking experience in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents with attention to quality and presentation.
• Alter or adapt recipes to accommodate special dining needs of residents.
• Ensure attractive presentation of food on the plate before serving.
• Identify food and supplies needed for the next week’s menus and report to the supervisor.
• Participate in new menu and special menu planning.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and kitchen/storage areas.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling and storage of food for infection control.
• Prepare meats for storage and portion control upon delivery.
• Assist with dishwashing and kitchen sanitation, as needed.
