Delta is seeking a Cook to prepare, cook, season, and serve adequate, attractive, nutritious, and balanced meals for residents in a senior care setting. You will work with menu plans and ensure meals are served hot and plated nicely while following safety and sanitation guidelines.

You will collaborate with dining staff, report to the Executive Chef, and perform kitchen duties including food preparation, equipment care, and waste reduction.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in dining department of a senior care community preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare foods for cooking: Peel, wash, trim vegetables and fruit; wash, cut, de-bone and trim meat, fish and fowl.
• Cook a variety of foods in large quantities, bake, roast, stew and steam-cook meats, fish and fowl, gravies and sauces.
• Prepare cold meats, sandwiches, and beverages; use leftovers to reduce waste.
• Follow standard recipes and ensure meals are palatable, attractive, and served hot or cold as required.
