Mosaic Management is seeking a Cook to join our healthcare dining team in Vancouver, WA. You will prepare and serve meals according to menus, ensuring safety and quality for residents.

You will accommodate special diets and assist during peak service times while maintaining clean, organized kitchen spaces and adhering to infection control standards.

Strong communication and time management are essential to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a cook in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Ability to prepare a variety of foods skillfully and efficiently.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 40-50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Prior experience working with therapeutic or specialized diets.
• ServSafe, Food Handlers or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation & Service: Prepare and serve meals according to established menus, recipes, and portion standards.
• Safety & Temperature: Ensure meals are prepared safely, on time, and at proper serving temperatures.
• Dietary Needs: Accommodate resident dietary needs, including special diets, allergies, and texture modifications.
• Presentation: Present food attractively and consistently, following Mosaic dining standards.
• Support during peak times: Step in to assist with plating, garnishing, and serving during peak dining times.
• Resident Service: Provide courteous, respectful, and personalized service to residents and guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
• Cleanliness & Sanitation: Clean and maintain the kitchen, food preparation areas, equipment, and dining spaces.
• Compliance: Follow Mosaic’s cleaning schedules and infection control standards.
